The "Grand Strand" is what we refer to as the Greater Myrtle Beach Area here, it is an area of about 60 miles of shoreline by about 50 miles inland.  It starts along the Atlantic Ocean at the North Carolina border, south to the City of Georgetown, west to Hemingway and back north to the North Carolina border.
